The Afterlife Call Center is a call center run by Beetlejuice and the workplace of the Shrinkers in the Afterlife.
History[]
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice[]
When his turn in the Afterlife waiting room came, Beetlejuice was presumably sent by Juno to work at the Afterlife Call Center, where he operated as the head of the Shrinkers, whose duty was to answer calls from deceased people who held grudges against the living, allowing Beetlejuice to handle their problems.
36 years later, Beetlejuice continued to work at the call center, forming a close friendship with Shrinker Bob and keeping a photo of Lydia Deetz as a reminder of his obsessive love for her. One day, Beetlejuice was called by Detective Wolf Jackson regarding a murder case, which was caused by Delores, his ex-wife, and alarmed, he returned to the call center, where, speaking in Italian, he told his employees how he married Delores, who poisoned him and he cut her into pieces, prompting Delores to seek revenge. Worried about Delores' attack, Beetlejuice ordered the Shrinkers to place all of the center's furniture to prevent her from passing through while Bob disguised himself as his boss to fool Delores, allowing Beetlejuice to survive, who read that Lydia's father, Charles, died in a plane crash, developing a plan to try to marry her to escape Delores.
When summoned by Lydia to save her daughter Astrid, Beetlejuice drew a bomb to enter the call center, asking the Shrinkers to continue working and ordering Bob to protect the fort, leaving on his mission with Lydia. Following Beetlejuice's orders, Bob asked his colleagues to return to work, but without his boss present, all the Shrinkers escaped to the Deetz residence to enjoy Halloween. In search of her ex-husband, Delores went to the call center, where she noticed his absence and prepared for their reunion before destroying Lydia's photo, showing jealousy towards her, not realizing that Bob was under the table.
